Philips 42" Plasma

Does anyone know the native resolution of the Philips 42FD9954/17S Plasma display. The specifications refer to Alis technology allowing for 1024x1024 pixels, but I don't know how that relates to native resolution. The VGA and Component video inputs both support a variety of resolutions with the top-end seeming to be 1280x1024 and 1920x1080 respectively. I can't seem to find any information on what resolutions the DVI-D input supports. Any help here would be appreciated. I am trying to determine ahead of time what output resolution would need to be supported by a scaler to produce maximum picture quality. I am looking at getting either the DVDO iscan HD+ or the Crystalio 2300. If anyone has any thoughts on either of these two units, I would appreciate the input.

I am somewhat new at this and there is a lot of information to digest.

Thanks,

Brent
