DLP = whole differnt ballgame .. and whole differnt pricetags. As far as how "effective" the anti-burn in is .. i can't answer that .. i can tell you that if you dont use the screen at max contrast, and try to moderate your content intake (say you watch 6 hours of SD TV, go watch a 16:9 dvd or an hour of 16:9 HDTV) .. also using the "stretch" modes pretty much eliminates burn in. With the exception of the annoying channel icons only thing you can do about that is not watch the same channel all the time.
