No one's heard anything about this remote huh? Looked like a pretty interesting concept - go to their website and tell them what hardware you have, then aim the remote at your CRT monitor and they beam the codes to it.
I looked at the Phillips electronics website and there was no mention of this remote. Strange.
I wonder if this product is defunct or something? I did a search for the Gemini Promote and all I could find was old articles from 2001. Wal Mart sells it online under the Phillips name. I might just buy this out of curiosity. I can always return it to a local Wal Mart if it doesn't work out.
On closer inspection, I can see why this product never went anywhere. It's just a gimmick. There is no real advantage to having the product codes entered via the computer screen, because no customized programmability is allowed, and the database of supported products is limited. This isn't even a true learning remote.
Neat concept, but they didn't go anywhere with it.
