I'm not a big fan of integrated devices, especially when they are this expensive. It may help reduce clutter a bit, but what happens if the DVR breaks? You gonnna send your whole TV to the shop for repair? Yeesh.

LG is the first part of "LG-Phillips" They were originally known as "Phillips" before they were bought out by a swedish company and manufacturing moved to Korea.


I have no idea who makes their panels. With 5000:1 contrast, sounds like an OEM dynamic backlight knockoff of Samsungs tech. But I could be mistaken.
