I know a bunch of folks use photopoint to host pictures...


Anyway, it's been down for several days and no one seems to know when/if it's coming back. There's a whole discussion going on about it over at www.dpreview.com but no one there seems to know what's going on either.


Anyone here have any scoop?

I have started using Yahoo briefcase. Its free, provides 30M, automatically creates thumbnails, and is integrated into my.yahoo.com.


More and more of the things I need have been finding themselves in yahoo. . . . I hope they don't go out of business!

Once photopoint started charging I did a quick evaluation (being the king of analyzing things to death) and ended up using http://www.webshots.com. Some of the things I liked about it include:

• Unlimited storage
• Pretty good album browsing interface
• Ability to link to individual images in the album
• Ability to link to full size copies of the images
• Web based album management as well as a nifty desktop management application

I've been a happy user for several months.
