House broken into = tv stolen = time for updgrade

Now that I "need" a new tv, I guess its time to invest in that plasma I have always wanted. I would really like picture in picture, but I don't see very many models with this option.

I see the high end Samsungs (of various sizes) have the feature, but none of he Panasonics or LG's? Pioneer is out of my price range?

Whats the deal? Is it an issue with burn in? Why isnt this option on more brands and mid-range models?

Any other brands/options I should be considering. I know the Samsung LCD/LED models have PIP as well, I may look into those.

Thanks.

I have a Samsung PN50B650. Although on Samsungs website it says the TV doesn't have PIP, it actually does. If you wait for it to go on sale you can get a really, really good price on it. I got mine for 2/3 of retail.

What is the PIP like on the B650? I have never bothered to try it in the stores, since they always only have one feed hooked up. I was thinking of picking one up, when I take the Hitachi back.

I love the PIP/POP and side-by-side picture options on my Hitachi Director's Series. I know many people claim that they don't ever use PIP, but I like using the POP and side-by-side options on my Hitachi. I had the Tour de France and the Baseball Game going on at the same time, and when commercials (which seem to happen every five minutes now) would come up, I would just switch the audio back and forth between the two pictures.

How many other PDP's have not just PIP, but also POP and/or side-by-side picture options?
