Hi all

I'm hoping to get a bit of advice on a picture issue I'm having.

My parent's just bought a new Toshiba 32HF73, and have it connected to one of those Sony prog. scan 5 disc changer DVD/receiver systems. Picture quality is pretty good on cable or analog sources, but when they watch DVDs they complain that its too white.

I went up to visit them, and noticed hte same thing - theres an almost silver finish to everything, and very little red in the fleshtones. I tried to correct the problem using Avia, but wasn't able to do much with it.

Could anyone offer some advice on fixing this? I'm wondering if theres a setting in either the DVD player or the TV that I haven't seen?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Regards,

Derek

Brightness up to high, maybe?

I noticed a similar silverish effect on GTA3 for Xbox when my friend turned the brightness all the way up in-game.

The DVD player itself *might* have a brightness control that is turned up way too much.
