Hi

I have noticed that when the picture (normal mode) has black bars on all sides, it is not centered properly. The bar on the rt is thinner than the bar on the left.

Is there a way to center the picture horizontally?

Also my dish 6000 + 8VSB has no fan noise. It works fine though. I wonder if that is a fix on recent models.

On the 6000 you can center up & down and left and right under the HDTV setup option under installation.I wish you could also adjust zoom to reduce overscan, but alas that option is not available.

You can't center the picture in SD mode. You can in HD, but the bars move with the image...so I guess you'll join the rest of us as we wait for a software release that will fix it...assuming it can be fixed.

I noted this problem with DISH engineering nine months ago. I wouldn't hold my breath.
