Hi,

Does anyone have the Pin Out diagram for the special 7 pin S-Video - Component adapter that comes with the X1?

I want to know which of the component RCA plugs correspond to which of the 7 pins in the special S-Video adapter. If no one has this information, can anyone tell me how I can go about getting this information.

TIA

All you need is the connector and a multimeter. Touch the pos and neg on the RCA terminals and check which pin on the SVideo side has continuity. I'd do it, but I'm getting ready to go see X-Men 2 at the theater. If no one does this by tomorrow, I'll have to find the adapter and give it a go.

So can we assume that for Svideo:

1=chroma

3=Luma

4=chroma ground

7=Luma ground

That would mean that inside the PJ, Svideo and Components are taking 2 very different paths, so we should be able to make a cable with both connections and switch the sources with the PJ's menus.

Anybody to concur ? KBK ? Bob Williams ?
