I'm new to the world of DVD recording.

Here is my problem, I recorded a show on a -R disc, finalized it and

played it back on the machine it was recorded on and everything is fine.

Color is perfect.

I then played it on another DVD player and the picture is pink.

I triple checked and the color is fine when watching regular Tv.

So, I don't think it's my Tv.

Suggestions, please??

Thanks!!

Very strange. I've never read of such a problem in this forum. Sounds like a setting problem. Can you try it on another player and TV? Maybe go to Best Buy, or a friends house, etc. See what the results are.

You didn't say what you recorded it with. A PC Burner or a standalone recorder? If a PC Burner - what software? With a PC Burner there are numerous setting to make before you do the burn.

It's a brand new Pioneer standalone recorder.

I think I need to clarify, when I say a pink screen,

I'm talking about the images having a pink tint to them.

Faces, buildings all have a pink hue.

I hope I'm explaining myself.

And as I said, it looks great on the recorder itself.

And I don't think it's the Tv it's being played on.

Just to update,

After running a cleaning disc thru it and many hours of trying to figure out

what could be wrong, it hit me.

I didn't check the cables.

Thinking that this wasn't the solution, because the unit hasn't been moved in months, I figured it was going to be a loss cause.

To my surprise, when I pulled it out from the shelf, there was one cable that wasn't quite inserted all the way, pushed it in and sure enough,

the problem was fixed!

So, next time someone posts about a pink hue, tell them to check their

cables!! :p

I thought I was doing something wrong on the recording end of it.

Glad it know that wasn't the problem!

Thanks!
