Yes, it is! You just cannot listen to different sources at the same time (like for another room), but I assume you dont want to.

Pioneer 1015 question
Hi, I just ordered the 1015 reciever with a set of Athena surrounds for movies and games for kids. However, I think my old Yamaha floorstanding speakers will do better for music (much larger than Athenas). My question is, is it possible to hook up 2 mains for music AND 5.1 for surround and just select between the two setups? Thanks
