I'm thinking of buying a Pioneer 811s receiver and was wondering if the component video switching would pass 1080i. The bandwidth is rated at 28 MHz so I'm thinking it may be enough for HD. I have enough inputs on my TV if not, but I'm trying the keep the WAF in check. If anyone has done this please post your findings. Thanks.

People have been switching HD with Denons that only pass 27Mhz and they have claimed good results. Try it and if you notice a difference then return it, I think you will be alright though.

I have the 811 with 1080i passing through... On my Projector it looks fine to me. I have not been able to tell the difference.

The image is around 100 inches
