Ok, I have a bit of a newbie question here. I noticed recently that the Pioneer VSX-D912K receiver has 7.1 speaker terminals on it, but it only decodes 6.1. It also has 7.1 inputs, but only 6.1 pre-outs. The amplifier section is spec'd at 110W x 6.
I understand that I could theoretically use the 7.1 inputs from a DVD player that has a 7.1 decoder built in, bypassing the 912's decoder, but using it's amp. My question is, if the 912 is rated at 110Wx6, does that mean it would put out ~95Wx7? Or is it really 110Wx7? Or am I missing something here.
Here's a link:

On a side note, for some reason the Pioneer's Canadian site lists the 712 and 812 as also having the "auto-MCACC" feature, but the US site lists only the 912 as having it, and the 812 as having a "manual MCACC". Is there a real discrepancy between CDN/US models, or just between the websites?
Thanks,
