I just installed a new Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD in my '03 Infiniti G35. Love the unit, especially the touchscreen. However, I can't get JPEGs to display on the screen at all. When I insert a USB key or a CD-R with JPEGs on them, the filenames show up on the display, but no image is displayed. Because of this, I can't capture any images to use as a custom wallpaper. I've tried JPEGs of differing resolutions, but none seem to work.

Anyone else with this receiver have the same issues, or (even better) a workaround? It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice to load my own wallpapers to display on the screen, instead of the ho-hum graphics they include with the unit.

I figured out what the problem was. The receiver wasn't detecting that the parking brake was engaged. I order to watch videos or view images, the car must be stopped with the parking brake engaged. Once I disengaged, then re-engaged the brake, the images showed up properly.

Hopefully this information will help others who use this head unit.
