Hello, i have a 5020 on the way and was wondering if the Pioneers do better in this subject?

i had some panasonic plasmas and although they didnt get Much IR and Burn-in i dont even worry i was just wondering if the Pio is better than panasonic in regards to IR.

i read somewhere here on AVS saying that Pioneer never gets burn-in and hardly get IR and Pioneer dont need Break-in.

my reason is i want to play X360 and PS3.

I Game on my 50" Panasonic all the time. In fact shortly after getting mine. It depends on the game though. While the TV is breaking in, you want to play games that don't have a Static Image on the screen. Some type of HUD or something. Or play for hours, day after day. You want to mix it up. Play different games. A couple hours of one game, then a couple hours of something different. You don't want to go on a 12 Hour Halo Marathon for a week for example. I haven't even had so much as any IR yet.

I just really don't worry about it. Pioneer and Panasonics are pretty bullet proof. Samsungs on the other hand, I would avoid.

Can we just start one giant thread that states unless you're a complete moron, IR/Burn-in is no longer an issue.. Plasma and burn-in talk go hand-in-hand and it's getting really old, because it really isn't an issue anymore.
