Pioneer D509S v's JVC 7000VBK

OK, I need a cheapish S-Video switching amp (maybe with a learning remote) - I'm not ultra fussy about top of the range quality sound I just want something to replace a basic Aiwa non s-video switching Dolby Digital amp.

I'm considering the Pioneer D509S and the JVC 7000VBK mainly because they are only $269 at Costco...

Any comments on alternatives and/or the basic quality aspects of these?
