Greets...

I'm trying to hook up an FM radio antenna to my Elite 45TX receiver.

What's odd is that the connectors on the back says 75ohm but only has 2 clamp-down wire connectors. I would think a 75ohm connector should be a female "F" jack, which would suit me fine as I'm using a 75ohm TV antenna.

So how do I get the 75ohm antenna lead into those 2 wire holes?

The manual shows a normal 75ohm coax cable with the center stripped and going straight into the receiver and sheilding into the other hole. Can you really do this?

I have some of the little plastic 750hm to 300ohm converters that seem to work, but is this correct?

Any other idears?

Do not use the 300-ohm converter. You should do it according to the manual. The "75-ohm" spec is about the characteristic impedance of the cable/antenna, not the connector, although it is true that most of the time you use an F terminal for a 75-ohm coax.
