I am the owner of a Elite Pro 630HD since Dec 2002 - Set plays great. The problem I have is when I hook up my Sony BDP-S300 via HDMI to DVI port ont he Elite the Sony doesnt provide any picture. If I use component connections it will provide a picture but its not HD quailty - My quess there is a problem with the copy protection (HDCP). Let me add That using the same HDMI to DVI cable from my Direct TV box the HD picture is outstanding. Any ideas ?

the sad part is I havent been using this set much since I have a SONY SXRD TV down in the family room. I realy want to get back to my theater room that has the Elite.

Whatr resolutiion are you using from the Disk player to the TV over HDMI-DVI?

Your direct TV STB is most likely using 1080i/60?

Why's that? 1080i component should be the same quality as 1080i dvi.
