Hello everybody. Just out of the blue I can no longer get any signal coming from the HDMI out on this receiver. I've tried 2 different known working displays. At the most basic level I expected to see the MCACC menu but that doesn't even come up. Tried different cables etc. Sound seems to work fine but of course that has nothing to do with HDMI out. Did it die? Its a 2010 receiver so not that old. I had a Yamaha that's a decade old. If it's dead I'll be avoiding Pioneer...

Some Pioneer models don't display the setup screen through HDMI.. Some of them require you to use an analog "monitor out" connection. Before you get too worked up, try a reset. If the HDMI fails to work after that, then you can worked up.

What's the reset involve?


As a matter of fact this receiver does show setup on screen. I remember doing this when I first got it... Running through the mcacc setup with the mic and all. I really believe the port is dead but wanted to get some thoughts from the folks on here first. Feel bad getting rid of the thing cause it works OK otherwise.

I don't know how yours resets. You would have to consult the manual.

tried the reset, but still only audio - help?

my vsx-30 also has stopped sending the video signal to my television. i have done the factory reset as recommended earlier, but still no video signal out.

my set-up has a bluray player and a comcast cable box as hdmi inputs. the hdmi output then goes directly to my tv. the audio comes through fine from the cable box but does not send a video signal to the tv. i have tried to connect the cable box and bluray directly to the tv (with the same hdmi cables) and both audio and video come through just fine.

have i cooked the hdmi out on the vsx-30? i didn't know this was possible.
