Sometimes when we go to Pioneer Parts and Acessories section to buy some extra part, i can see some parts say (available in 60 days).

This means they are going to manufacture the part.

Why can't they do that also to cosmetical parts?

For example the Pioneer HLD X0 (very expensive Laserdisc Player). Should't Pioneer have those in stock by respect to buyers and collector's?

If a person pays the costs of manufacturing will they manufacture the parts?

Anyone has a clue about this? Or the manufacture where Pioneer orders his cosmetical parts?

Probaby because these players were produced in very low quanity and for a very short time frame before they were discountinued. Plus It has been going on 10 years since production stopped. You're actually lucky to be able to still buy parts at all.

These parts are available but are a tad more expensive than the HLD X9 model of which I shall be purchasing from a seller in Japan ''has 2 complete sets reserved for me at the approximate cost of £800.

I say approx as the seller will be giving me a discount after I have purchased my remaining Laserdisc titles from him in 2009.

Also reserved is an HLD X0 which will be fully serviced by Pioneer before shipping and have asked if I could have a full set of spares for this shipped with the player.

I am also purchasing Pioneer Service Manuals from a seller who only sells original items and have a LD service engineer in my town who will service my LD Players, of which I am very pleased about.

You are correct about the cosmetic spare parts situation friend, and would have thought that they would have spares for for the top end side. The collector will pay the cost of these parts ''so why ar'ent these available''

Good thread friend and have enjoyed reading

Kindest regards

Hi

That's lucky of you.

You have 2 complete sets of cosmetical parts? Front Panels, Side Panels, Top Panels, everything? For the X0?

Or do you mean mechanical sets (spindle, Pickup, Belts)?

Because mechanical until while ago they were available.

Hi cararte,

These are Mechanical sets and shall look forward to receiving them in the coming months, also to the further purchase of the service manuals.

Sincere Regards
