When I run MCACC on my Pioneer 1014, the distances are sometimes quite different from the actual physical distances. E.g., my sub is ~11 ft away, and MCACC comes up with 14 ft. Is it better to go with MCACC no matter what (i.e., does it give the best 'acoustic distance'), or not? Any expert advice?

millerwill,

I am not an expert but this is normal for the 1014. You should leave this setting as is. It is setting this distance to properly "time align" the sub with the rest of the speakers. The other speaker should be very close to the physical distances.
