Hi there im new to the forum so excuse me if there is a thread already on this.
I have two pioneer plasmas, both about 8 yrs old, a pdp 506 and 436 hdg. Both have been great until a recent heatwave of 2 weeks of 40 degree heat in south Australia which seems to have affected the 50 screen. When starting up it almost immediately closes down and blue light flashes 7 times (a y board fault?)
Before i trash it i would like an opinion on
Whether it is an easy fix - i have some electronics ability as i muck about ( very carefully ) with valve amps and have recapped a few and brought them back to life but im no tech
Is it worth paying a tech to fix?
Your words of wisdom would be appreciated.
Regards. Rob
