I would like to connect my pre/pro to the plasma via Input 1 which is a D-sub 15 connection. I think that's the only way to take advantage of all the enhanced video processing the Pro1000HD offers. Someone please tell me if I'm wrong. The problem is that my pre/pro's monitor out is a component connection. Do they make a cable that can connect the two different connections?

Also, is D-sub 15 the same thing as DVI?

I'm kinda new at this stuff, so any suggestions, guidance, advise would be helpful.

Thanks

The D-sub is a VGA type port - it is not DVI. To get DVI you would have to replace the input card with a new one.

The cable you are looking for is like the one on the front of www.bluejeanscable.com.

You can also purchase from other online retailers like bettercable.com or rhinocable.com

You then just set Input 1 on your Pioneer to accept component input and you are set.
