Pioneer VSX-1015TX Advice

536 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  henryld
I am brand new to the site and would appreciate a few comments on the following:

Is the absence of the "lip-sync" feature a major concern/problem? There seem to be a lot of happy Pioneer VSX-1015TX customers here!

The receiver will be mated to KEF speakers and a 50" Panny PLasma.

Thanks in advance!

well let me be the first to welcome you to the forum!

I have the Pioneer 1015 and absolutely love this receiver!!

I can only say that if you dont have a plasma tv, i would not worry about the lip sync feature. but i see you do have one, my mistake.

i would say try the 1015 and see if there is a lip sync delay on the plasma.

I think the KEF should mate well with the 1015.

But dont take my word for it, try it yourself and see what your ears like best!!

Does this problem only occur on plasma TVs?
I have a 1015 as well as own an LG Plasma and I do not have a lipsync issue. However, I will caveat this and say that the satelite picture signal is sent directly to the TV and only the audio is sent to the receiver.
Nobody with this receiver and a 50" Panny?

The plan is to run component to the plasma and the rest from the receiver.

I appreciate the other memebers opinions!
I am running component direct to my 50U from D*HDDVR and audio to the receiver with no sync problems.
