Hello!

I've got Pioneer VSX-1018 and it stands quite far from projector. That's why I put the extender/repeater between. My players and other stuff work fine with extender and projector, but when the Pio reciever is connected there projector(or even if I put tv there) can't see any signal.

Connection between reciever-projector (w/o extender) works fine.

Cnonnection between any player or laptop -extender- projector works.

Where is the problem?

All help much appreciated.

thanks, Tim

Not unusual to hit a problem when trying to extend the Output of an AV Amp - Pioneer can be particularly frustrating.

The firmware inside all of the connected items has to be able to cope with your complex connectivity plan - you may find a different set of Extenders will work for you - then again you may find no Extender set will work for you.

What is the Extender you are using?

Joe

PS Are you saying the AV Amp to Projector works OK over your long cable without the Extender - if so send it back and live without it!!!

Thanks for your answer, Joe!

The problems is that projector is quite away from amp. When I try to amp-prj directly, I put the amp in the middle of the room. But I don't want all this stuff in the middle of the room.

Extender is above suspended ceiling (that is made without opportunity to do anything), so it's quite costly to change something.

I use Inakustik HDMI female-female.

It could be found on this page in-akustik.com/en/KuZ/produkte/artikel_liste.asp?nav1=1_50&nav2=2_330

Thanks,

Tim
