I was originally looking to get the 1121, but seeing the SC-35 recommended repeatedly on this forum prompted me to start considering it. The 1121 is $550 at newegg, vs $750 + tax for the SC-35 at costco. So besides the extra power, what am I gaining by springing for the SC-35?

Probably not much more than an older model Elite. The 1121 has a 1 year warranty, the Elite 2. They have similar power, video processors, etc. I'd choose the 1121 and pocket the $200 dollars plus tax.

the main difference is the icepower amp in the 35, which will make a huge difference if you're doing 5.1 or 7.1. The 1021 which was tested by HT (rated 90W) does 45W into 7, so we could interpolate the 1121 to be 55? The SC-37, same amp as the 35, was tested at 125W into 7.
