Pioneer VSX-1325 Questions

Hi all,

Earlier today I bought a Pioneer VSX-1325 AVR from a Goodwill store...and now I have a few questions.

First, the input selector knob only selects the 5 HDMI inputs - when turning the knob none of the analog inputs are available...tuner, internet radio, cd, etc. Reading through the manual doesn't help :). Or does one need the remote to access all of the inputs?

Second, what is the correct remote control? The manual just shows a photo of it, but no part number.

Third, after taking off the cover to check for any mechanical damage I did notice the chassis seems to be "hot" - as in feeling a 'tingling' if you will when running a finger on the bare metal. This feeling goes away when unplugged from the mains. On other equipment I've reversed the AC plug and that seems to help, but the 1325 uses an "HP cord" that cannot be reversed (it also does not have the 3rd prong for grounding).

That same Goodwill Store also had a Pioneer SX6 that works just fine - that will be a good stereo for the garage.

Thanks!

I just now returned the Pioneer to the Goodwill store. Further testing revealed that there was no audio from any of the HDMI inputs. Really good looking video, but no audio.

I also noted that the unit would not stay in standby mode...the blue led in the power button would go out in a few seconds.

Now to start research on a new/newer AVR - the Denon doesn't do 4K but otherwise works just fine.
