I have a DMP-BD35 Blu Ray hooked up to the 84txsi via HDMI. I have all the settings in the BD35 set to decode and output DTSHD and TrueHD as PCM and sent to the reciever. However, the receiver automatically down converts them to stereo 2 channel. At least it shows stereo and pcm, and none of the speaker channel lights are displayed. I know that there is a firmware update for this receiver, so I'm guessing that might solve the problem. But I wanted to check here to see if I was missing some setting on the 84txsi that I could have messed up. Any advise...or is it definitely a firmware issue?

Check the receiver settings and make sure audio out over hdmi is disabled.
