Pioneer VSX-9700S Video Out Problem

380 Views 1 Reply 1 Participant Last post by  DougSmith911
Yesterday after a weekend out of town auditioning new speakers for my system, I settled in to watch programs on my ReplayTV and discovered thin, black vertical line in the picture. It is in the monitor out RCA jack on my Pioneer VSX-9700S. It shows with all the components that feed through it. I've tried adjusting it, cleaning it, etc. and nothing seems to help! http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/frown.gif

Anyone know what would cause this? Can it be fixed? If so, is it an expensive fix? Should I just relegate this receiver to music only and get a new A/V receiver?

Thanks for helping me out!!

Additional info:

I noticed this evening when a blue screen was showing that the portion to the left of the black line (about 1/5 of the screen) was about two shades lighter than the rest of the screen.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Doug
