Has anyone seen the pdp503cmx and been able to compare it to the pdp 5030hd.Best buy is displaying the pdp5030 and the presentation in the store is nothing short of amazing.I cant find the pdp503cmx on display. Is the picture on the 503 as good as the 5030.Its so much cheaper in price.Does the 503cmx come with a video card or is that an added expense? Does the video card provide tuner access to the 503cmx or is it just a straight monitor with no tuner or speakers. Many people on the forum seem be going for the 503cmx and i would like to know what their decision was based on? thanks

The 503CMX with the 5002 video card reportedly has a much higher quality de-interlacer and scaler than the 5030HD. So its superior and cheaper, a no-brainer why its more popular!

Hi:

You can search through this forum and find many comparisons between the Pio503cmx, 5030HD and 1000 Elite. All use the same actual glass/panel.

You may want to read these to help:

Many of us buy the 503cmx with either the PDA-5002 video card (approx $300) or the TVP-1000 TV tuner card (approx $700), but it is still significantly cheaper and a better quality picture AND future-proofing you system, as compared to the 5030HD.

I went through a similar choice in August, when I bought my Pio 503cmx. Before I started frequenting the AVS forum, I almost bought the 5030HD. Glad I didn't.

Hope ths helps.
