Hi, my speakers are being replaced by Energy RC-10s I have a chance to redo it now.

The 2nd picture is taken when sit in my chair. I have hang the old cube speakers out of the way. No complaints so far, they do not sound high to me. Should I lower the new speakers a bit.. I will probably bump into it though
The TV will be replaced later but I guess that's the screen height too, if only the size increases, actually, I likely be changing to projector so the height would raise a bit also, in that case the current height might not be too bad at all.

The last picture is rear speaker (the cube up there not the new one..) that was always pointed towards the front which is technically not so good. The chair on the right is watching the TV center (best seat!) . I think I will build a short stand to lift the new speakers, and turn it side ways like the dolby diagram this time. But the hutch would probably block some of the sound? the current cubes are almost symmetric to the fronts but I think I may spread the distance a bit more.

So for the rears, how high should I put it and how to aim. The new speaker is much deeper so I definitely don't want it pointing forward, as that will put me way behind the rear sound field. i The rear speakers are same model as the front for now.. I am not going to try the diffuse speakers for now.

as you can see not a real HT room but it's going to be best room in the house anyway.

Thanks in advance.

I believe dolby spec for the rears say to have the st 90 to 110 degrees angle from forward listening position with a height of 1 to 2 feet above ear level.
