Just saw the add in latest HT Magazine for this projector. Had not heard of it before now. Specs say 1000 ANSI Lumens with 8000:1 contrast, not much else. Nice to see some new competition, things were getting a bit dull with 1080p DLP offerings. Funny no mention of it from CES reports. Nice looking projector I think.

Planar makes really good projectors, they are very color acurate out of the box and they have good optics and processing.


I think that its a brand that you will see more of in the future since they are bringing a full line-up of projectors and even some unique things that are coming after the summer.


They had a private meeting room and show at CES, which means that not so many actually got to see them. They where showing of primarily their new flat screen line up. But also some projectors.
