Planet Earth compression problem?

754 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  dojoman
I was watching the first disc Fresh Water episode and I saw really bad video artifacts or was it something else? The whole screen was pulsating with artifacts and it lasts for like 2 minutes. It started aroud 0:04, it was a really good scene too with waterfall. I'm usually not nitpicky about these things but it was very distracting. What the heck, it was definitely ruin. Anyone else noticed this? I watched it on PS3 so is it not the disc problem maybe PS3?

if do a little search.......there are already few threads discussing the issues of Planet Earth.
Hey dojo why dont you just give it to me if you dont like it?
Do you mean the problem described here ?

If so, BBC is claiming it's RF signals from the helicopter radio interfering with the video signal in the camera... or something.

That's the one. It's flickering with compression all over the screen. It lasts for like 2 minutes and it happened during a really good scene. Yeah, BBC's claim is BS cause I didn't see this on Discovery HD. What a joke. The box says it's the best HD source material and what's up with this hiccups? I still like the series but come on.
