I’m moving away from New York City and will be taking along my Panasonic TH-42PWD4 Plasma Display. My new residence will be located in a 220VAC country. As my set is 120VAC 50/60 Hz, I’m wondering what additional precautions I will need to take apart from a powerful enough 240-120V transformer. Do I need to worry about grounding issues, or an additional power filter?

Any tips & recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

You can buy a voltage converter which is capable of handling 150-200 Watts more than the max. power requirements of your display. Or you can try the local Panasonic tech support there if they or you can swap the internal power supply. I wouldn't worry about anything else - the voltage converter has a built in fuse.

Thanks DarthT.

Does anybody know if Panasonic Tech support can swap the internal power supply and install a 100-240 VAC power supply...?

I appreciate the help.
