my advice would be *take your time*. you might indeed end up going
with an led, or some other lcd, but i strongly advice against a snap decision. there are basically 3 reasons:
1) like a suit or a dress, a tv can look really impressive on first glance, but sometimes those flashy suits/dresses aren't really the ones you end up wanting to wear. if you can manage to spend at least 20 minutes really *watching* the various sets, you might be surprised by what you end up wanting to really own.
2) if you can manage it, figure some way to see the sets in their optimal state (i.e. blu ray movie, decent settings, etc); that way, you're really getting a fair comparison.
3) finally, if you end up going led, make sure to really shop around, as, for example, LG is supposed to have some bang-up sets on the market right now...
