I have a Kuro 141FD and I love its incredibly lifelike presentation compared to my OLED. The trouble is it only happens with some of the videos I stream (I use Netflix). For example I was watching Blue Planet II last night and those animals were *IN* the room. Why doesn't that happen with all videos? What flips on the plasma magic? Is it the framerate?

Can you name a few other movies/tv series besides Blue Planet 2 with that superior effect?

I have an idea, but please give me more information first.. :)

Don't tell the OLED people that in that forum over there. They give me the business when I tell them my VT60 and KRP-600M is better than my B6 OLED lol.

I'm still working on coming up with something definitive here. Nature shows always seem to look incredible. Are there certain settings I need to make sure I have right?

Now you know why TV Demos in retail store often are nature landscapes and/or animals..

:)

Usually scenes where there is bright sunlight that helps the digital camera sensors, hight contrast scenes and lots of natural colors, and also certain close up shots/zoom footage that looks more dynamic.. They look great even with low bandwith..

There is also definitly a difference in "depth of field" and "3d look" of streaming vs. Blu ray..

Some content just works better with low bandwith via stream then others..

What is your experience with Blu ray on the pioneer?

The only source I have on my TV is a computer so I play Netflix in the browser and I rip Blu-Rays and play them in Kodi. The Blu-Rays look great but not as natural as streaming nature shows in Netflix but then again I don't have any nature Blu-Rays. I need to fix that...

Hi guys, I have a question a little bit out of topic... I need some help, my Panasonic plasma ZT60 was working perfectly yesterday morning, when I finished watching I turn it off as usual. Later when I tried to turn it on again I hear the relay noise (click) as usual but the tv doesn’t turn on and the red light is blinking, 2 red flashing every few seconds. Any idea what could be the issue? and how to fix it?

Thank you!

Those nature shows have alot of bright and static scenes with close ups which makes the image stand out more. Movies have high motion and use different types of lighting. Can't really compare the two. I don't find the difference jarring because i know what to expect from both and they're two completely different types of content.

There are movies and tv shows that have that same bright contrast look. Ones with alot of static imagery like Better Call Saul or House Of Cards. Those shows look stunning on the kuro.

You may want to take this to the ZT 60 support thread.
