Here's one of many designs I have for my Panny 42". Have not yet decided on final materials, probably highly figured wood base and maybe stainless or anodized posts. This design takes advantage of table stand holes in bottom of plasma. There have been previous discussions on center channel placement, wall or table mount. This is just one approach.

What do ya' think?,

Thanks for the observation -

If you mean plasma + stand is shaped like an 'L', of course it is, and so is the factory stand.

This design matches factory table stand footprint front to back (longer left to right) with about +4" elevation . Center posts are not centered on axis of plasma, ie. more weight to the front. If I needed space for say, 12" high speaker, same design would work fine for wall, but table mount would probably need a little more depth front to back. Keep in Mind, the factory front to back dimensions for 50" model stand is the same as 42", even though it's 4" taller and 30lbs. heavier.
