I am going to be getting a 42" plasma for a location where there is no hdtv available (except satallite, which i will not be getting). Is there any advantage to getting a hdtv capable plasma when the only viewing will be cable and dvd's? Or will the non-hdtv plasma's give just as good, or even better, picture for this type of viewing? thanks

WOW, if that monitor is your idea of "low tech" can I borrow your time machine and see the land of the future that you must come from? ;)

Glad I could help, I'm also planning on buying the SD model soon.
