bought a new toshiba dr7 player/recorder.....(upconverting)


none of the burned dvd's I have will load or play, regardless of whether they are -r or +r discs.....


they will all load and play however on my toshiba 4000 dvd player....and on the old electrohome I had as well.


on the new machine, when I load i get disc error on tv screen....and they will not load or play.


what the heck is going on????

Did you finalize the DVDs that you are trying to play?

The dvd's were finalized on the computer......


is another step needed?

Sure seems like you have a defective machine. If it were mine, I would take it back for an exchange.
