Here is what I did...and I love them both. Toshiba HD-DVD A2 and a PS3 20GB. I refuse to be fanboy of either format...Now I can get any movie HD DVD or BD and to top it off...I can game as a extra benefit. If I had to pick one of the other...it would be a hard choice. If you are looking for a HD DVD player on the cheap I would suggest the HD A2 if on the other hand if you want a BD player on the cheap I would suggest the PS3. Enjoy whatever you decide to do.

Not at the moment. If you want HD-DVD now, you have to buy Toshiba or the Xbox 360 add-on. RCA has a player, but it is a rebadged Toshiba. Onkyo should have a player available soon (announced at CES). I think they said March, but note that these early entrant products often don't meet their originally scheduled timetables.

I noticed that. I think you posted in the wrong threads in the HD-DVD forum. You posted in a couple of threads that have degraded into a typical HD-DVD vs BD battleground. Take into account that a bunch of the prolific posters in the HD-DVD forum (and also here in the Blu-ray forum) are not in the least bit interested in helping anyone, they are only interested in fighting, trolling and hurling insults around as they religiously defend their chosen format.

Its all rather pathetic I agree, a simple question is hijacked and either ignored completely or turned into a point scoring contest. From now on I will ask specific questions in their relevent format sections, whether I get the Information I seek is another matter
