Hi guys


I have a real problem here that annoys me very much , when I play any divx movie with ac3 sound , it stutters badly and it is unwatchable , it only happens using spdif option in ac3filter , whether I let my A2 ZS decode it or send the signal to the reciever , it is the same , I also have an ENVY24PT chip built in my mobo (Chaintech Zenith 9CJS) , and using it also does the same through optical spdif out . The strange thing is that , if I let ac3filter decode the ac3 tream , playback is very smooth , I tried different software versions , different service packs for Win XP Pro , different A2 drivers , no solution .


My specs :

P4 3.0 @ 3.6 GHZ

2 X 256 DDR400 Ram

Chaintech 9CJS i875 mobo

WD 160GB SE drive

Audigy 2 ZS

Radeon 9800 PRO @ 450 / 390

Win XP Pro SP2

DirectX 9.0C

have you tried throwing reclock into the mix? it solves problems with video stuttering for avi files muxed with ac3, but not sure how it works with plain audio stuttering. might be work a try - you should be able to pick up the latest file around here or at doom.org, just do a search for reclock here.
