Playing DVD files from hard drive with myHTPC

I am very new to the HTPC scene and need some help with either resources or just answers to my question. I have a lot of DVDs ripped to a external storage device. I also set up myHTPC like many others to pull all my DVD info from myDVDprofiler. Is there any way to integrate the library of dvd info with the actual files so that by choosing play it would pull the files and not ask to insert a dvd.
