I rented my son the COD WOW game and he tried to go online and play, but it would never connect. So I began a couple of days of research into this issue and haven't so far been able to get it to work. Here is what I have so far:

I have a wired connection to my D-Link WBR 2310 (I think, from memory) to the PS3. I've never had an issue getting online with the PS3 browser or the PS Store. I have a static IP address assigned to the PS3. When I do the connection test, I get a message that "The router in use may not support IP fragments, and the communication features of some games may be restricted".

Now, I have tried placing the PS3 IP in the DMZ of the router, forwarded the ports required for COD3, etc all to no avail.

Why would this be happening? It seems strange because my other younger son said he could play online with LBP.

I did read something about changing the MTU to 1300. What effect will this have on everything else connected to my router?
