Playstation 3 hard drive swap.


I am looking to swap my hard drive on my PS3. I am doing this before installing YLD 5.0.

Has anyone done this?

Where could I purchase a hard dive?

How big could I go?

How much would it cost?

How difficult is it to do?

Do I need to upgrade to 1.32 again?

You can get the HD from just about anywhere... Try Newegg.com 2.5" SATA is what you will need

You can go as big as your budget will allow. But currently I think the biggest one you'll find is about 200Gig

It depends on the size as to how much it will cost.

It's not hard to do, read the Manual. it's outline and is fairly straight forward

Im not sure about upgrading to 1.32 again. I think so, but how hard is that to do?

Question (stupid?): When doing a HD swap, will I have to recreate my accounts on the machine? Or is account information saved to internal memory, not the HD?
