I keep getting this message everytime I use my vid card on my home theater computer. "VPU Recover was unable to fully recover from a hardware deadlock, and has switched to software rendering. To restore hardward rendering, you must restart your computer. Do you want to restart your computer now?"
I have been messing with this for a week! I have gone so far as dumping Windows XP, doing a fresh install, and then putting a fresh install of Catalyst. I thought maybe Powerstrip was messing everything up...but now my comp is giving me the error and Powerstrip hasn't even been installed yet! No matter what I do, I either get this error, or my comp restarts itself.
Does anyone know what is going on with my home theater comp? I am using a RAEDON 8500 series vid card. It is not even that old, I just got my Mits 55" in May, so that is when I bought this card, so that I could use it on my tv.
thanks for any help you can give! Oh yes, I also want to add, I have tried using the most recent version of the software, and I have also tried using my older version of the software. Niether stops the error.
