Please help me split this house

So far I have IN going to a 2 way splitter (one to modem and 1 to next splitter)

Here is my question, I have 5 more connections to make with 2 options:

a 6 way splitter (no one makes a 5 way right, and even if they did it would really be a 6 way with one missing right?)

OR a 2 way into a 4 way

Which will have less loss, or will they be the same?

Yes I know, I should use a $60 amped 5 way, but the owner does not want that, as they do not even use these other 5 connections. So please tell me which of the two I have is the best option, thanks.

If they're not currently using the other 5 locations, why are you actively splitting the signal to them? Terminate and label the cables nicely, and connect only those CATV outlets actually in use. Leave a splitter and a patch cable or two behind so they can reconfigure without calling anyone if they add an outlet later.

Because I don't want to leave the cables hanging.

But I think I will go with the 2 splitter into 4 splitter, than leave a note to connect primary tv to second 2 splitter if the need arrises.
Unless you have an unusual situation (long drop? poorly designed cable system with too high a tap value?) I'd just get an 8-way and put it in as the only splitter. To see if this is feasible you can log into your modem (192.168.100.1 is the usual address) and check levels. Post them here and someone will chime in if an 8-way is doable.
You shouldn't have lines connected that don't go to anything. Get a wire clip or some duct tape or something.
