Hi guys I am going to buy a new TV, I want to get one of this TV, and can someone please tell me which one will be better and why?


Sony WEGA PFM42V1SK 42" Plasma TV


Hitachi 60V500 60" Digital Widescreen LCD TV


Panasonic PT50DL54 50" Digital Widescreen DLP HDTV

As my mother might say, the right TV is whichever one you like best.

Why get a 42" plasma when you can get a 60" LCD? Depends on your viewing distance. Do you see rainbows? Then the LCD is the best bet. Don't see rainbows? Then it's between the Panny and LCD. If you have the room, I'd get the 60". What if you don't have the room and see rainbows? Then the plasma.

As other post have indicated its really up to your taste and needs. There are WAY to many variables to consider here


-viewing distance

-viewing angle (s)

-what comprimise are you willing to make?

- LCD's are bright, no convergence issues but black levels are not as good

- Plasma, image is great for 12 to 16 months then begins to get "fuzzy" plus are subject to burn in but have great image all round


If you looking at just bang for your buck and quality I would get the Hit hands down.
