Hi everyone. I know Sony has gotten a bad reputaion recently, but I could not resist the purchace of Sony's DA3000ES yesterday at a local store for less than $350. (Brand new in the box). That said, this little set up is just for the guest room, so don't get excited.

Anyway, I finally got it all hooked up, but now I have a problem.

I'm getting undesirable subtitles on the TV when playing a DVD movie on my PS2.

Here is my set up:

1 Brand new Sony KDL-V32XBR1 HD-LCD TV

Sony DA3000EX Surround Reciever

Polk Audio RM20's (5 surround sound sattilites)

Polk Audio PSW10 Subwoofer

Sony Playstation 2

Game Cube

No sound is being routed through the TV, so I've ruled the TV out.

All sound and video is being routed through the reciever.

I've checked the DVD disc menu, (No subtitles available on Star Trek Insurrection)

I've checked the PS2 menu's but I'm not seeing any subtitles functions active in there.

So, what's going on? Is it the reciever? If so, how do I turn the d*mn things off?!?!?

Please help! :(

Thanks

Thanks for all the help anyway. . . .
