I am ordering a new system today and have decided on Denon avr3802, Def Tech Pb 30 for fronts, def tech 2000clr for center and def tech pro 12 sub.My dilemma is this for rears the budget warrants two option, 2 bpvx def techs which would then have 6 1/2 drivers through out the room, or 4 bp2x drivers for 7.1 but each speaker has 2 5 1/4 inch driver instead of the 4 6 1/2 driver each bpvx has. What do you guys think?

With DD/DTS, your 3802 will cut off the rears at 80Hz, I believe. Assuming you go the typical route for a receiver of that amount of power and use the 'small' setting. Can those smaller speakers handle down to 80Hz effectively? Probably.
