please help with opinions for bookshelf speaker comparisons

I originally asked people on the 'speaker' forum but no one there seems to want to help. everyone seems friendlier here anyway.


klipsch sg-1 or primus 150's or recommendations?

any help would be greatly appreciated.


I've scrounged up a couple hundred bucks and have been searching for excellent quality economical bookshelf speakers that can later be used as front speakers in a 5.1 setup. My search (reading as many posts/ reviews as possible and price checks) has come to the primus 150's and klipsch sg-1's as the most economical and supposedly best sounding. I already have a powered Subwoofer, so base isn't a big concern.


Can anyone help me decide between the two. I'm a total newbie and dont know what I'm doing. I
